Living with a chronic illness hasn't always been easy, for a while it stopped me from pursuing my dreams of seeing the world, but not anymore. I was diagnosed with mast cell activation disorder, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and a plethora of other chronic symptoms that stem from it.
I know 1st hand the struggles of having a chronic illness. I also know it's possible to get to a place where you can manage it and live a full life with it. Now I'm better than ever and ready to start chasing my dreams.
From a young age, I had an insatiable wanderlust, a desire to explore new cultures, experience different landscapes, and immerse myself in the beauty of the world. But as my health began to decline, I faced countless obstacles that seemed to stand in the way of my travel aspirations.
Through trial and error, I learned how to research and plan accessible itineraries, find accommodations that catered to my needs, and arrange transportation that accommodated my mobility challenges. I also became adept at managing my energy levels and pacing myself during trips, ensuring that I could enjoy every moment without compromising my health.
My journey of living with a chronic illness while chasing my dreams has been a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences. It has taught me resilience, adaptability, and gratitude for every opportunity to explore this beautiful planet.
